Emme has started on peas last Friday. At first she was not a fan at all. She put them in her mouth and kind of made a scrunched up face and then opened her mouth and started gagging when she realized these peas were not her cereal. She actually has gotten alot better with eating them. She eats one little container a day between 2 feedings, so I would say that is a very good start. Here are a few photos of her first experience...
We had to break down and get Emme's hair cut already. The back was badly in need of a little snip snip because it was starting to look rather mulletish and that's never a good thing. So I brought her in last week to my gal Clare who does my hair. I wasn't going to attempt cutting Emme's hair, especially for the first time even if it was just a few snips here and there. I think a baby's first hair cut should be something special and I wanted to take pictures too and I can't do that if I was going to cut it myself. Off to my hair dresser we went and I sat Emme down in her Bumbo seat, which was perfect to use. They even had a little cape for her to wear so her hair wouldn't get all over her clothes. Emme was very good for the whole process which really probably took a whole 3 minutes start to finish. She kept trying to turn around to see what was going on behind her, but all in all, she was a little gem. She's starting to take after me already, she really is a girlie girl and loves getting pampered at the hair salon! Clare did an awesome job and our little buggy looks better than ever!
Emme has started eating cereal last Wednesday! I can't believe my little buggy is eating like a grown up, tear :( Not that I'm not happy she's growing and everything, it just makes her alittle less of a baby. She actually loves it and is really good at eating it now. She looks for the spoon to head her way to her mouth and makes these "yum yum ummm yum" noises when she eats, it's adorable!
Auntie Mo is now gone :( Whenever family visits, it really seems just to fly by. I can't even remember all we did, it just flew by so fast! We had a great time with her in town and we are so happy she got to meet our little buggy when she is small like this. Luckily, we will see her and everyone else in May when we visit for her husband Tre's graduation. So it won't be too long before we are reunited anyways. We love Arizona, the only bummer is that all of our family lives everywhere else in the country and not close to us :(
Emme really had a great time with Monica and just loved her to pieces. We went to see the Chihuly or Chuhuly (not sure on the spelling) display at the Desert Botanical Gardens which was really neat, I definately recommend going for you Arizona people. He makes amazing glass displays that are gorgeous. Here are some pics from her visit...
